Creative Conversation Starters
You can do better than "Hi, my name is ______. What's your name?" Better conversation starters help things flow more naturally. Offer someone a drink such as a beer or coffee. Walk your precious pup around and chat with those who ask to pet her. Proudly wear a t-shirt showing off your favorite show, hobby, or pastime. A fellow fanatic could see it and strike up a conversation. Try to focus on approaches that don't make the conversation feel forced and you'll enjoy a better connection.
Be Outside Your Motorhome
You won't meet people staying cooped up inside your camper! You need to be out and about where other people are. It's as simple as setting up a chair outside and chatting up those who pass. Some people even put up a sign inviting others to join their meals or campfires.
Join a Group
You can use the internet to foster connections, too! There are plenty of camper enthusiast groups you can join. You could own a new or used RV or use a teardrop trailer or a Class A Motorhome. If you own a camper, you belong in these communities!

Both allow you to meet fellow travelers, trade travel strategies, attend events, and more! You can connect with people online and set up in-person interactions when you both get to the campsite.

Once you meet someone exciting, the next step is to build that relationship. The fastest way to friendship is sharing memories together! You need to coordinate a way to spend time together. Cook them a meal in your motorhome. Go on a hike together. Visit a tourist attraction. Find an activity you both enjoy and go do it. The more time you can spend together, the closer you will get.

Eventually, the time will come for you each to return to your camper and go home. Before you say goodbye, coordinate a way to stay in touch. Maybe you exchange business cards.
